We have several talented speakers, who enourage us and teach us from the Bible each week.

noel braddock

Noel works in sales. No, he's not a salesman, he's really a very under-stated guy. He's involved in quite a few different organisations (in a voluntary capacity), and preaches at several churches around the place. For some strange reason, he seems to wear the same shirt every week.

Noel loves to teach from the Bible, and challenge people to think about what it means for their own lives. He has a deep committment to missions, and has himself been a missionary in Brazil.

ross brown

Ross is also an honest-to-goodness missionary. His background is the electrical trade, but he spent more than a decade in Zambia, teaching the Bible and helping the local churches. Both his kids were born there.

Ross loves to do research, and learn something fresh from God's word, the Bible. He doesn't preach at you, he shares the Bible with you. And not just when he's up the front! This fellow has had to depend on God in lots of difficult situations, and he's found that God has never come up short.

herbie hampson

Herbie is an ex-sailor, and still works with them every day. He rides a motorbike, and loves to go fishing. He's loud, he's enthusiastic, and he's unconventional.

He recently met a guy who served with him on HMAS Perth 15 years ago, and this guy knew what he used to be like. "You preach??!!!" he said. Herbie gets that a lot. God has changed his life completely, and he wants to tell you how great that is. He's no theologian, just someone being "moulded" by Jesus Christ.

jamie o'keefe

Jamie is a postie. Work can be a huge trial, and his faith is under pressure - and under scrutiny - every day. He's learned to trust God no matter what craziness is going on around him.

Jamie's passions are surfing and preaching, and he's pretty good at both. If you know of any openings for a surfing preacher, or a preaching surfer, then drop him a line!

There are also many others at Norwest who lead in worship, communion, and preach from time to time.
