Leading Communion involves leading the congregation as it spends time remembering the Lord Jesus, worshipping him and his Father, and sharing the Lord's supper. Appropriate songs and Bible passages are selected to stimulate both remembrance and worship. An opportunity is provided for the congregation to partake of the Lord's supper, and reflect on the way this act of obedience will have an influence on the coming week.
Qualifications: Love for the Lord Jesus, a Godly lifestyle, an understanding of the reason for celebrating Communion, and the ability to lead the congregation to do this.
kids church
Do you like kids? This is a ministry for you. We have the joy of spending time with kids from the church, teaching them about God's way to live life. We have a number of openings in all age groups for additional teachers. Currently teachers rotate, teaching for 4 Sundays and having 8 Sundays off.
powerpoint presentation
We could use a person with a good understanding of the Powerpoint programme to train speakers in the use of the programme as an aid to their teaching, and assist the Programming Team by preparing special creative presentations when required.

discipleship/mentoring
Peer to peer mentoring within the church is encouraged. A heart for open and honest relationships is needed so that each person is encouraged in their Christian walk. It requires a person to keep groups accountable for each other and also provide resources to enhance spiritual maturity within the partnership.

visitation
A genuine caring nature is needed to visit and support people. This is a diverse activity which includes visiting people in hospital, their home and socially. Reasons for visiting include helping people through sickness, grief, crisis, difficulties etc. We would highly recommend training by participating in a "Learning to Care" course. This is a 6 week course that helps people care for others more effectively.
welcoming/ushering
A bright friendly personality is needed to greet people at the door to make visitors feel welcome. This also includes helping newcomers to their seats and directing them to morning tea or their children to Kids Church. Part of the welcoming process is to introduce newcomers to people of their own age or similar family dynamics, so as to start a friendship.
